The Alchemator allows craft brewers and beverage producers to easily separate the alcohol and water from any fermented beverage. Simply add deaerated water to the remaining concentrate to make full-flavored low-alcohol or nonalcoholic beer or beverage from the original beer, cider, wine, kombucha and more. The Alchemator incorporates ProBrew’s industry recognized Plug-&-Play simplicity also found in the popular ProCarb Mini and other ProBrew systems.
Flavored hard seltzers & RTD-Beverages are rapidly growing in popularity. Available in two different configurations, the Alchemator can pull the alcohol and water from the feed beverage creating a Hard Seltzer base. By adding carbonation and flavoring to the alcohol water base, you can easily create a crystal-clear hard seltzer or RTD-cocktail without compromising your beverage’s unique characteristics.

The Alchemator’s unique process control and membrane technology allows brewers & beverage producers to process product at normal post-fermentation temperatures of 32-34°F. This helps prevent oxygen pickup, reduces stress on the beverage, and maintains essential flavor and quality characteristics such as: aroma, color and turbidity better than thermal dealcoholizing systems.
The feed beer or fermented beverage concentrate can also be reconstituted with the DA-5 or DA-10 Water Deaeration Technology upgrade. By adding deaerated water to the concentrate, you can easily produce a great tasting LA/NA beer and beverage while maintaining the original flavor profile and product quality! The Alchemator will help you increase your volume, increase your offerings, and increase your sales by simply generating two beverages from one!
In keeping with ProBrew’s innovative and ergonomic craft brewery design ethos, the Alchemator is also designed with the same mobility in mind as the popular ProCarb Mini Mobile and ProBrew’s New Mobile Keg Filler. Simply move the Alchemator into place, connect hoses, push the start-button, and run.
The Alchemator is fully automated and designed to run flawlessly during production. As with all ProBrew brewery and beverage processing systems, the Alchemator utilizes state-of-the-art Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley PLC controls with integrated digital meters and pressure transmitters to continuously monitor the process.
The Alchemator can be easily integrated with a clean-in-place system to assure reliable product quality, run after run. The filtration technology is designed for 104° CIP with conventional caustic detergents and acid sanitizers typically found in most craft breweries. The clean-in-place process is automated and controlled by the PLC controller.
The Alchemator operation is constructed with a single motor requiring very low energy compared to more elaborate and electrically consuming systems. Additionally, the Alchemator’s Cold Process saves energy by not needing to heat up the water, beer or beverage to extract alcohol, thus saving large amounts of refrigeration energy.
The Alchemator can extract up to 75% of the base beer or beverage alcohol in a single pass. This flexibility feature allows for the quick and easy creation of LA (Low Alcohol) base beer/beverage as well as a Lower Alcohol secondary beverage. Lower alcohol base beers/beverages and higher alcohol secondary beverages can easily be created by using multi-pass mode.
The Alchemator is designed for most microbreweries in mind, with a steady throughput of over 3gpm based on nominal base beer/beverage input flow rate. The Alchemator is available with a 2X Flowrate Upgrade to double the output of Hard Seltzer.
